WHAT IS BARKING SEED?
Barking Seed is a mobile games community that releases games with online and social elements that all tie into the world of Barking Seed.
WHAT PHONE CAN I USE TO START USING BARKING SEED?
Barking Seed is currently built for Nokia devices with games available for both touch and keypad phones! If your phone is Flash Lite enabled you should be able to play, we try our best to bring the games across to all phones, check on Ovi if you can download for your own phone. Check out the supported list at the bottom of the page.
WHERE DO I GET BARKING SEED-ENABLED GAMES?

WHATS THE DEAL WITH USERNAME, PASSWORD AND E-MAIL ADDRESS DURING REGISTRATION?
When you want to interact with Barking Seed you need to register a username, password and e-mail in order to be able to play, the beauty is you only ever do this once. Once created you can log in to any Barking Seed game with the same username/e-mail address and password. Your e-mail address is used for if you ever forget your password, or if we need to contact you. For instance, when competitions are being run on Barking Seed, only players with valid e-mail address can be considered for prizes. Currently your e-mail address and personal information will not be shared with any 3rd parties. You will be notified via e-mail if this privacy policy ever changes.
HOW MUCH DATA IS USED WHEN USING THE ONLINE FUNCTIONALITIES OF THE GAMES?
The amount of data varies across games, but in general our games are lighter than browsing the web on your mobile browser. The heaviest data is when loading the online section of the games, these range from about 15kb to 50kb. When accessing scoreboards containing flags, the data is about 5kb per page. If you choose to upgrade a game, you will need to download the latest version, which could be anywhere from 250kb to 2MB.
WHY ARE THERE SO FEW SOUNDS IN THE GAMES?
Unfortunately at the moment the technology we use does not allow sounds to be triggered immediately when keys are pressed, additionally sound playback can make other parts of the game run slower. Since our games run across lots of phones, we have to make sure that even for users with old phones, they can still have a pretty awesome experience. Some new alternatives are becoming available in mobile sound and we are actively working on this!
WHY ARE THE ONLINE FEATURES NOT LOADING ON MY PHONE?
If the online functionality does not work you need to check your phone settings, if you can browse the internet with your phone's browser, then you do have a working internet connection. Additionally you have to make sure you have sufficient airtime (if on prepaid) and select the correct "default" access point.
THE INTERNET WORKS ON MY PHONE, BUT I STILL CAN'T POST SCORES?
Some service providers allow web access through the browser installed on the phone, but only through that browser, or only to specific sites. If your service provider does not allow you true unblocked internet access (or at least access to the web through applications), you will not be able to take advantage of Barking Seed games' online features. Check with your service provider whether or not you have this access, or for information on how you can get it enabled.
WHY WON'T THE GAME RUN?
In certain cases (very seldom) it seems certain firmware versions of a phone may prevent the game from playing correctly, in this case you need to upgrade your phone to the latest firmware version. Otherwise, make sure that your phone is on our supported phone list.
Some phones like the Nokia N97 have specific issues with their pre-installed Flash Lite player. In most cases, upgrading your Flash Lite player on your phone, or at worst, upgrading the firmware will solve these problems. Please note that you might lose all free pre-installed software on your phone when you upgrade the firmware.
